JANUARY 6TH AT THE BLUEBIRD THEATRE

Lucid Vision, Homemade Spaceship, Spectacle
Earlier this year in January, MHSM Artist Lucid Vision took the stage to a sold out Bluebird Theatre as he co-headlined the show with local friends, Skydyed. Set for exactly 1 year later (first Friday of the year), Lucid Vision is set to take the stage for his first true headline show in his home market of Denver, Colorado. Dalton Kieta (Lucid Vision) invited MHSM label-mate, Homemade Spaceship to close out the show, performing the late set. Boulder based trio, Spectacle, is set to perform their second Bluebird Theatre show with Lucid Vision, as they were a part of the sold out 2016 show. Spectacle just recently supported Lotus on a 2-night run in NYC, they are doing great things. Also supporting the upcoming Bluebird show are Nobide from Boulder and TwoScoops from Ft. Collins. With all 5 of these acts ready to bring the heat, this show is surely not one to miss.

FunkStatik – Living On The Edge EP

In a part of the country that is flooded with musical talent such as Denver, it has become very humbling to become part of a music community that is thriving and original as ever. The Mile High Sound Movement was founded on gathering unique and original music and we have been really excited about some of the new artists we have brought into our family recently. One of the most recent additions is Matt Rygol aka FunkStatik. After previously writing and performing his original music under the alias ‘Rygol’ while living in Nebraska, upon moving to Denver in 2014 he decided to change the alias to FunkStatik as he worked on a completely fresh new sound that resonates so well with our Colorado music lovers. Fresh and smooth, funky, glitchy bass music… or we can just call it that Mile High Sound!

Now releasing his 2nd EP on MHSM Records, this collective of 5 tracks is called “Living On The Edge” which is now available everywhere! Check it out on either of our Soundcloud pages, save it on Spotify, download and/or donate on Bandcamp.

BRICKSQUASH

If you haven’t heard yet, the Denver based MHSM Artists Cloud-D and Resonant Language have started a collaboration project called “BrickSquash”.  With only a handful of performances to date and a freshly released debut EP, the collab is starting to turn heads as these two sound design wizards compliment each of their talents and ability to get weird, in the best wobbly way possible. Keep an eye on all three of these projects, as neither of them show any signs of slowing down. With the debut of their 4-track EP ‘BrickSquash Mafia’, we can only expect some more to come.

Boulder Based Trio, Spectacle, Releases ‘LUCI’ EP

The Boulder based trio, Spectacle, has caught our eye this year. With a unique and original sound, they blend in quite well with a Colorado sound that we have began to enjoy. The first got on our radar when they supported Lucid Vision & Skydyed at the Bluebird Theatre in Denver, earlier this January. Since then, they have performed various shows at Cervantes’ and it has been fun watching this group grow musically. We wanted to help this growing band spread their music a bit, so we hope you enjoy the music and you can read some quotes from the band below. Read More

Notorious Conduct – Pushing Limits – MHSM Records

Notorious Conduct Press Photo (1)Josh Berry aka Notorious Conduct, is the newest artist to the MHSM collective and today his debut album Pushing Limits is now available on MHSM Records. An incredible amount of emotion was put into this debut project, which was over a year and a half in the making. Josh is currently in school for sound engineering and has been producing for two and a half years. His influences are by the sounds of Bassnectar, Minnesota, Mr. Carmack, Unlimited Gravity, Project Aspect, Marty Party / Panty Raid along with a strong Rock n Roll background. This album has an outer space theme which you can see immediately from the album artwork made by David Baca. With track names such as ‘Supernova’ and ‘Space Travel’, Josh wants to send a message that the universe holds no limits. In this album, listeners will experience the phenomenon of frequencies coming together with strong emotional bass music that you can feel. Look out for some performances to be announced in Colorado in the near future. Read More
